Re: 8+ tables...how do you do it?
[ QUOTE ]
I 8 table right now at full tilt, and would like to start 12 tabling. The way I do it is I minimize the table after I fold. That way the only tables that are on my screen are the ones where I'm currently in a hand (rarely more than 2). When I get dealt a new hand and it's my turn to act, the window pops up and I can either fold and re-minimize, or bet and keep the window open until the end of the hand. lol. I guess I have a higher threshold for annoyance than you guys. That method doesn't bother me at all.

Re: 8+ tables...how do you do it?
Stars is easiest to multitable as they pop up only after one has acted on the current table. Three tabling shorthanded limit games was no problem, one could do more if one plays it full ring, while I have tried eight tabling at full ring nl-holdem games where one needs do no observations if the games are good but lost money in spite of winning when having good hands as the cost of blinds became too much for rocky play and there's not all that many fish so one needs to play many lesser hands too and it's not possible by playing eight tables (I play only one or two shorthanded nl-holdem games these days).
PokerTracker or similar is of course necessary, then one just acts when its one's turn, no need to do basic observations (that otherwise limits one to one or two tables). No need to use more than one monitor and no need to resize anything (I have 19" but could be less too), the tables will pop up one at the time. |
