It's hard to accept that most people simply cannot write. Have you ever done something like post to Craigslist looking for somebody to help you move or watch your dog? About 95% of the replies are written by essentially illiterate people.

I will write:

Hello, I would like somebody to watch my dog over the weekend. Please reply telling me a little about yourself, what you know about watching dogs, and what you'd like to be paid.

The standard reply:
