well he's gone to Alabama

according to the sun sentinel, he's gone. Damn, being a Vol fan and a Fin fan this is a tough decision. I will learn to despise Saban. Please hire Jim Mora Jr, Mr Huizenga

All our local channels here in Tuscaloosa are reporting that he's on a plane to T-town right now.... which I guess explains him not showing up to the meeting this morning.

Did you really think he'd show up for a press conference after quitting? Why would he show up just so they could lambaste him for lying to them for the last two months?

I didn't think he would show up to the conference but I thought he'd make an appearance at the meeting between him and Wayne.........

A point about college jobs.

While the program's image and prestige isn't that high, the resources available at Oregon make that a really nice job (much better than say, UW).

Enjoy tons of scrutiny, a public perception that you're a liar, and being the 2nd best team in the state, Nick Saban.

Ah, did he not even have the stones to tell Wayne face-to-face he was quitting? That's weak. So how long do you think The Tide gives him to turn things around there?

I'm sticking to it - 'Bama job is top-10 for these guys. They are old-school, they remember the days of glory and they are conceded enough to think they can bring it all back. Whether or not the program can be resurrected or not is entirely beside the point.
