My wife and I are trying to go see it today. The only place it is playing in DC is Georgetown though and I am not sure any movie is worth finding a place to park in Georgetown.

Is this going into wider release?

I've seen Eternal Sunshine. Great movie. Not nearly as good as City of God, though.

Had you read the book before seeing the movie?

I think it comes in wider release on Jan.5th and is only in limited release right now.

Also, this movie is not getting any push here in Canada.. I've seen like one commercial and no hype.. I assume it's similar in America.. looks like they dropped the marketing ball on this one..

I also agree that City of God was the best movie of the last decade

You should be able to get a hold of this movie VERY easily. Screeners been circulating for over a month.

Very cool movie. I think my favorite thing about it is the long camera shots. The battle at the end must have taken some serious effort to shoot.

I watch about 2-3 hours of prime time TV a day, and see commercials for it about 2-3 times a night (of the times I'm paying attention), as opposed to Night at the Museum, which seems to have commercials on for it every 15 minutes. But then it also could be because I live in one of the cities where they're already showing the movie.
