Re: Top 2 on a draw board, where can I improve?
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] You're ahead of BB about half the time on the turn [/ QUOTE ] I'm not sure what makes you say this... [/ QUOTE ] I'm thinking hero is ahead of A7(6) and behind 77(3),TT(3). A7 doesn't always play this way, but the times it doesn't is probably offset by the times villain is being dumb with something like AK or AQ. (Edit: Unless you're counting AT, which you are technically not "ahead of" but shouldn't influence your decision to try to extract value from MP2.) |

I just call the turn. You raised PF and capped the flop. Yet, he still likes his hand enough to lead the turn...
While your hand is too good to simply fold, I don't think we're in best shape anymore either. |

Re: Top 2 on a draw board, where can I improve?
grunch
Reads would really help. If villains are reasonably tight and sane players I'd be thinking A7 (6 combos) and 77 (3 combos) for one of them going into turn. T7 probably wouldn't be in their range. In which case I'd cap turn and raise river, maybe just call if BB 3-bets river. If you ever saw one of the villains pass on an opportunity to raise/reraise preflop with big hands, then I'd add AA(1 combo), TT (3 combos), and AK (8 combos) to possibilities, in which case I'd just call down turn and river. You're still ahead-behind 2:1, but I think I trust 3-bets more from the type of player who would just call AA preflop. MP2's flop raise/ turn fold looks like Ax or a free card play on KQ maybe? If he had 98 I'm guessing he'd want to see the river, especially with no possible flush. |
