I'd rather tell 2 missed opportunities.

1) I saw a Mitch Hedberg show a few years ago. I was standing outside the comedy club talking to some friends that were there for about 30-45 minutes after the show. I left, my friends stayed around talking, and I was later told that Mitch came out and talked to everybody about 2 minutes after I left.

2) I was with a syndictaed radio personality, and was invited to hit the bars on South Beach. It was 2am, and I had a 6:30 flight so I opted to go back to my hotel. I don't know that I would have partied with anybody cool, but wish I had at least gone.

I met John Legend at Detroit Metro Airport. He was chilling at a gate with a crew of like 4-5 guys, with a ton of Luis Vuitton baggage. This was before his major grammy success, and that might have played a role in the fact that no one else in the area seemed to notice or care he was there. I was waiting for my flight, and I noticed him sitting there working on an apple notebook. I walked up to him and asked if he was John Legend, and he smiled and said yeah, and I basically just told him that I enjoyed his music. I didn't have my digital camera on me, so I scrambled and asked him if he could sign my boarding pass, to which he asked one of his friends for a sharpie and obliged. We chatted very briefly because I was nervous and didn't want to annoy him too much, but I did actually offer him some indian food I had packed and was about to eat, but he said he had just ate and was no longer hungry. One of his friends then told me that the black suit jacket I was wearing was nice, haha. John (first name basis?) seemed to be a really nice and genuine guy.

I've met Michael Chang twice, once at Seattle-Tacoma airport, and once at Mercer Island Country Club. I met him at Mercer Island Country Club during a club tennis exchange as a junior tennis player, and he was there holding a tennis clinic. Michael Chang was one of my heroes, and I was shocked to see him when I was strolling through a lobby area as he came through the front doors. He signed my t-shirt with "Jesus loves you - Michael Chang" and he told me to keep practicing and playing tennis. Michael was probably about 5'7, but his thigh and calf muscles were SICK. His calf muscles were easily more than the mass of my thighs. He was super-nice in this encounter. I also ran into Michael at the airport, and this time, he seemed to be in a rush and sort of upset. I asked him if I could take just one quick picture and he begrudgingly said yes, so my mom quickly snapped it, and in the picture I have a huge beaming smile, Michael looks very annoyed, and my cousin is in the middle with a shocked expression on her face, haha.

I "came across" Adam Sandler in Pomona, CA. My friend and I were rolling around trying to find some food on Foothill Blvd., when we saw some major lights at a furniture store on the street, along with a crowd of about 15-20 people and lots of trucks. We parked and came out of the truck and found out that Adam Sandler was inside filming something, apparently some commercial. We were at the edge of the parking lot when Adam came out of the store, did a crazy little dance jig and shouted "Get the [censored] out of here!" to all of us, then laughed, and rolled back inside. Hilarious. My friend and I then hopped back into his truck, and we rolled up to the security at the front of the parking lot and told them we had some stuff for the set in the back of the truck. The first security guy was ABOUT to wave us through (I have no idea how he believed our story) when another security guard walked over and busted us, we started cracking up and they threatened to bust us for trespassing, we backed up and rolled out of there.

Played poker with rich eisen from sportcenter at the Palms in my first night in vegas. He was fairly drunk, was there with his writer who is even funnier than eisen and it was a great time. He also sucked at poker which was nice. he spent most of the night trying to pry his wedding ring off and get with the cocktail waitress named Amber.

Alex trabec came to my junior high school (the did some jeapordy thing with my class and showed a 2 minute clip of it on the news. After we played jeopordy the class got to ask him questions and he seemed prety pissed when I asked if anyone had been caught cheating on the show. He said no, that they suspected somebody once but since he didnt win they didnt pursue it. I then expalined how I would cheat if I was on the show and he really seemed even more pissed.

I saw Steve Nash go by on his skateboard a few different times when I was at the batting cages along the Hudson River in Manhatten.

Ive seen Mike Piazza a few times and anytime there are media around hes the nciest guy in the world. However he almost knocked my 5 year old cousin who is in a wheelchair over to get to his car when there was no media around.

My brother is a continental mechanic and sometimes Ill go into work with him for a little while. One time we met John Travalta who took us on his plane. He was very nice and talked to us for a half hour.
Hes also met a lot of baseball players and weve gone to games with tickets that he got from Cliff Floyd and another time from Bernie Williams.

When I worked in a catering hall in Manahtten I met Al Leiter at a chariry event. He was very nice and when i mentioned that I was also lefthanded talked pitching with me for a while.

Ive also met vernon Wells and a few other Bluejays at a bar
but I was pretty drunk and dont remember much from it.

Meh...Dominic keeps telling us the same thing.

I do? How so? Point me to a post where I say I'm going be a famous filmmaker. That was juvenile, pathetic and totally uncalled for. Merry Christmas to you, too, Douchebag.

Yikes. You're right, it was a dumb thing to say. Keep in mind that all I know about you is that you've made porn movies in the past, which is why I brought up your name when KKF mentioned that he'd be a "famous film-maker in the next 24 months" -- which is a pretty farfetched claim to make. I wasn't trying to touch a nerve there or take a shot at you, which apparently I did. My apologies.

I caddied for Bill Clinton.

Did he cheat? A lot?
Estimate of his true handicap at the time?

[/ QUOTE ]
They were all hitting lots of balls and not really keeping score, so you couldn't really "cheat".

I would guess his true handicap was roughly 18-20. This was about 4 years ago.

Keith Jackson of ABC was homies with my grandfather (he gave Keith his first on air job, is the way the story goes). Met him when we went to see him speak at some WSU function. We'd sat about 20 rows up, and Keith gave my Grandpa a hard time for making him walk so far. Cool guy.

The [censored] Ervin Johnson that played for the Sonics took classes from us and met him a few times. He was nice enough, but people treated him like he was something other than a scrubby basketball player.

Talked with former Steelers TE Mark Bruhner a few times on the phone because he was taking classes from us. Nice guy.
