IQ and Religion is the first result on google I found. Suggests a negative correlation between IQ and belief.

My own anecdotal experience is inconclusive, I know several extremely smart people who are very religious, but at the same time several who arent.

In any case I think tests for it may in fact be testing age, I'm pretty sure that older = more belief (ie omg im gonna die soon better get an insurance policy) and older also = lower IQ (gradual decline), so thus corrleations between IQ and belief may in fact just be testing age.
