If it's legal or not has no change on my feelings on heroin. I've never tried it, but if someone pulled some and offered it to me I'm pretty sure I would turn it down, but I think there's still a chance I'd try it. The only reason I don't really want to try it is that I think I would like it WAY to much, and I don't really want to become a junkie. Or become known as that guy that does heroin.

The legality of it is huge and should be. If you get caught buying it or possessing it/you are looking at incarceration and huge legal bills and potential loss of employment with the illegality of it.

I don't know much about the technical details of addiction and deleterious effects on the body, but I've seen what heroine has done to my cousin by the age of 25, as well as the effect it's had on everyone who cares about him. His family is actually relieved when he is in jail. It seems different than most recreational drugs. No thanks.

Aren't heroin and opium from the same plant? And didn't opium used to be legal and really common?
Jacqueline Kennedy used to get methamphetimine shots when she was stressed out. I understand that all this stuff was made illegal because of the dangers associated with it, but if they re-legalized it I would assume it was because it was safe. |

I would probably try it if it were legal, as I'd be assured of the purity and would know exactly how much I was getting. Guys, no one who uses heroin starts by shooting it, they snort it first because it's much less revolting. This is what I would do. I don't think it's that big of a deal, it's just an opiate.
edit: missed the trained nurse part. Yeah, I'd probably still try it but go with a low dosage. |
