Would you do heroin if it was legal?
Let's say they legalize and regulate all the dope. You can now go to a professional heroin den, buy 100% pure heroin, and get shot up by a trained nurse in a sanitary environment.
Think you'd give it a shot?

I think the better question is would it being legal increase your chances of doing it. As of now I'd say there's a 1/10,000 chance of me doing in my lifetime, but if it were legal and safer I'd bump that up to about 1/1,000.

If the only thing standing between you and smack is the law, you are really stupid. If you want to shoot up, I'm fine by it. I just hate the aspect of letting the government make the choice for you, as opposed to learing all the facts about it and comparing the good things to the bad things by yourself.

[/ QUOTE ] What about the difficulty of finding a clean needle, knowing the purity of the heroin so as to avoid ODing, the possibility of getting caught and never being able to get a job, etc? I don't think that's stupid.

Alright, I was a little bit harsh. It's the concept of "if it is legal, then it is ok for me" that I don't like. There are other, valid arguments.

You should have thrown in a couple of maybe choices in this poll. If I could take it relatively safely, then I would consider doing it. I'm definitely leaning towards no, so thats what I chose.

I always used to think that I would never touch it. However, an ex-junkie friend of mine told me recently that, "good heroin, is GOOOOOOOD stuff." I might give it a try one time to see what it's all about.
