this isn't even close in my mind.
he calls $100 more on the flop w/ a gutter? obv. you're not deep enough for that to be correct, but if he was a good player and he could call that $100 and you still had $2000 behind, then sure, fold. but damn. easy call imo. i'd beat him to the pot.

i'm not saying this is a fold, but it sure as hell isn't "not close." wow wtf either my thought process is way better than i think or way worse. wtf.

[/ QUOTE ] ae, The people who post these hands generally seem to be the bragging type - so I expect some sort of results-oriented 'yeah, he had JJ, suck on it 2p2'. Basically, without serious reads/timing tells/whatever, we're always going to say call. This is an easy hand for us to play - perhaps not so for Tom, because he was there.

I'm curious - how often are we expecting to win here? I personally thought this was extremley close, of course against his range I leaned towards call. I just don't see hands like J9 or bottom set insta jamming for about 2 buy ins very often on a board of this texture - I think they usually think about it before coming to the inevitable conclusion, I think ths speed of his shove rules out marginal hands that people think he may have such as two pair.
