This is collusion. I really hope people can now see why after the explanation.
Example: You (insert poster here) pushes and there are two people left in the hand. Villan "A" tells villan "B" what he has and Villan "B" does the same and says he will fold. Villan "A" calls. I'm sure you wouldn't be happy about this. Your working as a team vs one person. If you think this is right, send me you sn on whatever site and I'll have a buddy join me at your table and we'll discuss how to play vs you optimally. |

Why is this cheating? AJ screwed himself out of the pot.
Just kidding---this is the most blatent, obvious, etc. violation of one player to a hand rule (more common live, yes, but here you have two players to two hands), among others. What does his going in all every hand in have to do with the ruling? How in the world can they consider this legal? Especially Stars. They blew this call big time. |

I'm not sure whether this is a case of the rule being a bad rule, or was the wrong rule misapplied. But regardless, this shows that whoever wrote this rule, or whoever applied it does not understand poker. (It should surprise no one that even PokerStars doesn't hire poker experts for their support.)
Talking about your hand during the course of the hand (unless HU) should be forbidden period, since the info you're conveying, even if it's available to all others in the hand, is not of equal value to all other players in that hand. An obvious example: Player A makes a bluff bet. Player B is next to act and hesitates. Player C should NOT be allowed to say, 'Damn, I missed. I got nothing.' for obvious reasons. The information he is conveying is of no use to Player A who has already made his bluff, but is of tremendous use to Player B. The fact that PokerStars ruled that this 'coffeehousing' is okay shows that they do not understand poker very well. I wish that Lee Jones could see this thread and institute some changes to their rules. |

If that happened in a live game i would kick the living crap out of the guy. Stars obviously misintepreted the situation and i am sure they will correct it and everyone here will do one big circle jerk to how great PS support is and how they solved the problem in such a wonderful and fast blah blah blah...

No prob Rika,
As Parker notes, this was further reviewed by Stars and they changed their decision. You can read Lee's excellent post in the original thread. |
