Default Re: Bodog Sharp Lines ?

Just stick to raping Bodog in the a$$ on their prop bets. Bet the real sports elsewhere. Easy way to make them pay for dealing the duel lines. I still can't believe I get square prop/celeb lines. Pretty funny stuff. My wife and I will continue to hit them up on these until they quit posting such stupid free money bets.

Example some of the wife's pending bets

I wish I had my bet histories for the year with Bodog but it is pretty much nothing but these silly prop bets which have all hit on the year. Even the +300 on Brandon Webb w/ the Cy Young hit.

I may not have been clear. Deleting the cookies or using a different browser only lets you look at the public lines for comparison purposes, but you won't actually be able to bet them. Once you log in again, you'll get your "sharp" set of lines.

And it doesn't matter how much you bet. I know people who got switched to the "sharp" line in a matter of weeks betting as little as $25 a game.

I guess they don't really give a crap about those celebrity bets. but after betting a handful of sports props there, usually for only $300-$500 (the limits are never high), they now have my account on a delay. Perhaps 65-75% of the time when I try to make a bet, they change the line on me before I can submit it. And most of the props I'm trying to bet have only a small edge. I suspect a lot of the props you've bet have a much larger edge than anything I try to bet.

The worst line I recall them putting up was the year Raymer won the WSOP, they listed 50 players, mostly "name" players, Gabe Kaplan, Ben Affleck, and maybe Wilford Brimely too, and you could get the field for even money! There were actually squares on internet message boards who argued that the field was a bad bet...

OK I changed computers AND deleted my cookies. Lines are still different.

I realized they had changed my lines because when my friend and I logged on our separate accounts our lines were different. The football lines available to me were half a point off on some games (esp. those that were wongable). WTF. what other options do I have?

Also, what makes this especially sad is the amount I bet per game. I left ~1k online after the legislation just to bet sports for fun. I mostly wager $5-15 sometimes $20 on a game. My biggest wager was $60, and now they're f'ing with my lines. This is the stupidest thing I've seen in a while..

This post is the stupidest thing I have seen in awhile. For the life of me I cannot figure out why everyone complains about being dealt these lines. Just pretend there is no such thing as square lines. The lines you are getting dealt are still soft. People have 2 options...

#1. Beat the hell out of Bodog with what they deem as "sharp" lines, yet they are still soft compared to a lot of sportsbooks out there.

#2. If you feel so ripped off by them, go take your business somewhere else.

But Bodog, has unlimited bonuses, easy props, and lines that still have better value in many instances compared to Pinnacle, and other reputable books. All of which if you were a competent sports bettor you'd realize Bodog still is a great book to use.

Every week there are posts about this and people still like to complain.

Beetman,

Variance is highly underrated in poker, especially MTT. Great players do well consistently but aren't a huge favorite over a complete moron with relatively short stacks, much less capable players.
