Last August I saw him play at the Walker Cup (Ryder Cup for amatuer golfers) as John Holmes. Now that he's on the PGA Tour he's going by J. B. Holmes. I think he's trying to get away from the other John Holmes now that he's a profesional.

In all seriousness, This course is known for having the rowdiest crowd on the PGA Tour. If Holmes can hold off a number of players in contention, including David Toms & Justin Leonard starting the day 3 shots back, it would be pretty impressive.
Holmes finished 10th in Hawaii and hits the ball a ton of the tee. I think we'll be hearing his name and the subsequent jokes quite often.

Are the CBS annoucers making snide comments during the telecast? I saw it on yestersday in a bar, but without sound.
