Re: Donking into PFR...
anybody else fold this preflop? as played i think it is a good idea to donk this flop if UTG has a high AF. if not i go for a c/r and hope for a favorable turn....

Re: Donking into PFR...
i want to bet this flop against very aggro players because they are raising all their AT+ hands on this flop and driving out others. against more passive players i like the c/r because i feel i have the best hand plus a decent draw....

Re: Donking into PFR...
[ QUOTE ]
If you have a medium strength hand, donking doesn't really make any sense because what happens is you get less money from weaker hands and more action from hands that are better or about the same as yours then if you had c/r'ed. You're also underrepresenting your hand so you will often be faced with the choice of folding to a possible bluff or calling down a raise probably on the turn. This is a situation you generally want to avoid unless there is some value in putting yourself in that spot. [/ QUOTE ] Excellent post Leader... thank you very much. You won't find this in any poker book, but it makes perfect sense. I had trouble understanding why posters were constantly check-raising in blind battles, but now realize that I clearly need to do it more often. Leak = plugged |

Re: Donking into PFR...
Sorry to bring this post back up but in regards to trying to force the button out (which is the entire premise of this donkbet), when we check raise we trap him for another bet with a weak hand, which is pretty good too. Is this not worth the fact that the hand will be harder to play on the turn IF an overcard drops?
