[ QUOTE ] Beer before liquor never been sicker Liquor before beer, you're in the clear [/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] Whatever... I've heard several different versions. The smoothest line is: Beer before liquor, never sicker. Liquor before beer, never fear. It has a nice symmetry. Edit: Aaaanyways, to answer to OP, personally, the axiom holds very true. |

If you are a wizened drunk and an expert at monitoring your own consumption, it shouldn't matter which you drink first.
That said, it's obviously easier to misgauge yourself when you're drinking alcohol in concentrated form. |

No way is it BS. I've never thrown up after getting loaded with liquor before going out. I've had to run for the bathroom many a time after taking a shot when I've had a lot of beer. I think its because shots are harder to take than beer, so doing them at the start of the night is safest.

The two nights I was most drunk, and most sick as a result of being drunk, and thus vommiting numerous times all over the place, occuried when drinking beer before liquor.

[/ QUOTE ] well shots are different than 'liquor'. of course you are more likely to get sick by doing shots, but beer then shot is far different than beer then Gin and Tonic. you would have the odds of throwing up if you shotgunned a beer as you would by doing a shot. caveat: I've always been a big drinker, and have thrown up less than 5 times in my life (I'm 31). so maybe I'm different than most. |
