Good summary, ASPoker8. With a hand like AJ, which would rather steal the blinds than see a flop or showdown, option A has to be better than option C because of greater fold equity. So any non-all-in raise can only be good if you plan to fold to a re-raise.

I also agree that if SB folds and BB pushes, it's a call. Pot odds are good, I still have 100k if I lose, and we knock out another player if I win. For the people advocating a push, when you would raise/fold? 20 BBs?

I wouldn't raise/fold for 20xBB with AJs from button, unless the reraiser was supernit. With a weaker hand, I would raise/fold.

I agree this is a hard part in a trny. You hate to go out on a stupid push or resteal. If you seem to go out 4-8 alot maybe try starting out tighter at the final table. Usually 5 or 6 people go out pretty fast. Resteal maybe 3 times during this period to maintain your stack then turn it on 3 to 4 handed with your tight image. GOODLUCK.

So pushing becomes more attractive because it eliminates the tough decision.

pushing here is certainly unexploitable, but that doesnt mean other lines mentioned don't extract more value. In a game i push that b/c id rather not be faced with a stopngo on a rag flop or a repop, but that doesnt mean its the optimal play.

Yeh, raise a marginal hand you will fold to a big stack reraise and raise AK, TT-AA, and go allin if you get action. I would just open push hands like AJs and 22-99. No point in giving anyone a chance to try to see a flop or make a play on you. If you are reraised, you have a close decision, but it is a call. So just push and wliminate further play.
