there is a requirement to carry valid id in Holland since a few years, though indeed getting into the casino, and out of the airport, are the most likely spots it will matter.

Sure, just ask me if you've got any questions. Just make sure you are picking one of the hotels in the city, you don't want to travel 15/20min to get into the city. I would rather stay in some crappy hotel near the casino (which is in the centre of Amsterdam) than a good hotel way out of the city.
