[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Why? Enlighten me. [/ QUOTE ] button raise from the second stack is often a reasonably large range. our hand measures up well against it, but i think does even better as a stop and go (obv we would check if we hit anything). flop is nice for the shove because he folds a lot of his non-ace range and it only has to work less than half of the time. btw, i almost always hate stop n gos. [/ QUOTE ] Gotcha. I understand the line of thinking but I guess I differ on what we get to fold. It's very dependent on the Villain. I love it based on the range your speaking of but I think there a lot of 114ers that I would never try this against. [/ QUOTE ] thing is that people who are calling with 77 are also opening wide enough for this to be profitable. people opening tighter are folding 77. obv, this is a generalization, but do you get what im saying? |

[/ QUOTE ] Absolutely. I got it from the beginning. I think you 77 example may me a bit off. I think plenty could open with like 77+,Ax+,KJ+ here. All that we are beating is KJ & sometimes folding 77-TT depending on the player. This obviously does work a lot better at the 114s. 77-TT may never fold to our line at a lower level. |

How do you think of the possibility that the button has an A when there is already an A appearing on flop? I think if the possibility is below 40% it is a good move.

[ QUOTE ]
cool... pushing PF isn't that bad either right? [/ QUOTE ] Pushing PF is worse here as villian probably has Ax or a mid pair and is pot committed unless x<8, in which case he should be pushing. The stop and go gets villian off mid pair on A high flop. |
