Default ($114) I almost never stop and go but this looked custom made....

A read really helps. How did he gets his chips?
If he's not a lagtard then I don't think his raising range includes a lot that you're folding out. He calls w/ a lot of pairs &amp; every Ace. If he's raising KJ,QJ,JT,98,every pair, etc then I like it a bit better.

I think a whole lot of people are folding mid-small pairs here against me.

Well, that's why I asked for a read. It's more dependent at a 114. I wouldn't fold out 88+ to you here.

button raise from the second stack is often a reasonably large range. our hand measures up well against it, but i think does even better as a stop and go (obv we would check if we hit anything). flop is nice for the shove because he folds a lot of his non-ace range and it only has to work less than half of the time.

btw, i almost always hate stop n gos.

Gotcha. I understand the line of thinking but I guess I differ on what we get to fold. It's very dependent on the Villain. I love it based on the range your speaking of but I think there a lot of 114ers that I would never try this against.
