What I said about the free showdown play is wrong...was thinking about a different hand at the same time. But I still think you should call the river given this card.

mike

how much better is calling the flop bet in comparison to raising the flop bet?

what was your plan if the sb bet the turn?

[ QUOTE ]

youve never seen someone take her line w/ KK or something? then the river goes check-check and last to act says "your ace is good"?

[/ QUOTE ]

i have seen someone take it with a J on numerous occassions.

check the turn. if you fail to check the turn fold to the turn raise after you bet. if you fail to fold to the raise fold to the river bet. if you still want to call the river look at all of her i really am strong tells and finally fold since you are already arriving a bet late to the folding party.

mike only post hands where he wins, unless the other player completely donked. He never posts hands where he made mistakes..

i think she has garbage, gave fake tell, mike called and won...

This is wrong.

In fact you only have to go back two hand posts to find a hand where he folded the best hand on the river against Newhizzle.

Two hands before that he posted a hand where he admitted misplaying it.

Isn't it possible to put her on a monster since she raised preflop, then only called the flop, and then sprung to life on the turn with a raise, like she was slow playing the flop. Especially when not much has changed with that turn card.

I could be way off here, but I do see players make plays like this.

NL must be getting to me because I'd fold here never. I think she'd o/r just about any A there pf, and post flop raise the turn with a weak one and fold to a 3 bet.

When you don't 3 bet, and you didn't 3 bet pf, she figures it's a chop. If you had A5, wouldn't you? What would you do different with a weak A if you were her?
