I used to work as a CSR for an insurance company about 20 years ago that had a CHAMPUS contract (a lot of retired military claims). That mean there were a lot of phone calls from old people. I took the phone to the lady next to me and unscrewed the end she talked into and put a wad of tissue in and screwed it back on. She kept having to talk real loud to get the people to be able to hear her. Every time she got of a call she would wonder why they couldn't hear her. She was almost screaming into the phone and was cracking up. I could only take about 4 calls before I broke down and let her know what was up and she thought it was funny.
