1) "Bob Saget is actually a really dirty, foul-mouthed comedian! Seriously! If you listen to his stand-up, you'd be surprised how R-rated it is!" No, I wouldn't. Everyone knows Saget is filthy. Welcome to 14 years ago.

2) "Alanis Morissette's song "Ironic" is not ironic at all! She misuses the word completely! Did you realize that?" Yes, as did everyone else when the song came out. We know the lyrics are not examples of irony. Can we just forget the song exists now please?

[/ QUOTE ]

I've definitely said both of these, I am a horrible person

Ok maybe im dumb but parts of the song "ironic" do seem to be talking about ironic moments. Like isnt being afraid to fly your whole life and finally getting on a plane to have it crash ironic? No?

I hear this one every now and then-

"I'm not racist. I hate everybody equally!"

i think the best ones were private joker's at the top of the list. a lot of the other stuff you guys mention is stuff that while i might not say it, think it and will continue to defend other peoples right to say it to all your dumb faces.

Moreover, people are just listing off idiotic things people say/do and completely missing the intention of this thread.

Edit: I can't think of any really good examples, but here is what PJ had in mind. While watching a movie taking place in outer space, someone decides to explain that there should be no sound because it's basically a vacuum out there.

I wish I knew the difference between the word "ironic" and the word used to express the concept she was conveying. Any help?
