Pat's and Geno's are NOT in a bad part of town unless you're scared of row homes and one way streets.

CEREALITY

I'm dying to go. A friend of mine went a few months ago. Loved it.

I have taken the opportunity to explore this link.

I am intrigued. Jerry Seinfeld's wet dream, brought to reality here on the lonesome earth.

Perhaps this is a reflection of an impoverished inner life, but my first question has to be - how much are these hipsters charging me to serve me a goddamn bowl of Apple Cinnamon Cheerios? My gut tells me the probable answer to this question is - a king's ransom.

One supposes that one is paying in large part for the experience - more specifically, that of enjoying your Captain Crunch in the company of IPod-and-Homestar-Runner-gear-clad hipster chicks, whom you may impress with your Scion and knowledge of vinyl recordings enough to go with you to the Flaming Lips show later tonight. (Hi, 'Baum, wave hi to the people. Big smiles for the camera. There we go.)

I would patronize this establishment. Reluctantly at first, more reluctantly the first time I paid, but gradually, were it within walking distance, I would likely come to treat it as my second breakfast table.

If you like Belgian beer and food, I highly recommend Monk's Cafe at 16th and Spruce.

Eulogy is another great choice for Belgian beers, and it is a lot closer to your hotel (one block away at 2nd and Chestnut).
