Villain is 24/15/2. Is villain raising this river often enough with just an ace for this 3bet to be correct?

[/ QUOTE ]
No. Although his earlier action might have been with a straight or flush draw, it is just as often a pair and when he raises that river, it's likely he made aces over.

Your hand easily looks to villain like a draw. Even if he puts you on a pair, with a big ace he's getting 6:1 on the turn to peel. If he gives himself 6 outs for his overs, he's nearly getting odds to peel. But with implied odds and perhaps the fact that he still may be ahead, this is an easy call on the turn for him.

And he might be showdown-bound with a big ace anyhow.

I say all this because you're afraid villain might be calling to the river with A5, A3, A8, maybe A9 and he's got you on the river (i.e. often enough to make a b3b unprofitable).

Makes too much sense for villain to have a big ace here. NH
