Freeze shaving cream in slim slices (not the gel type). Slide under door. As it unfreezes it will explode all over the room. Enjoy!
This works especially well if you freeze an entire can, then cut the can and just cut the block of frozen shaving cream out and throw it into an open car/truck, as it will fill the entire vehicle. But frozen slices slid under a door will do wonders too!

It cost £25 in balloons and took 6 of us 2hrs to blow them all up. flour bombs are my personal favourite, although the previously posted alarm clock idea sounds pretty tidy

The stuff is pretty cheap. Fill a room about waste level. They'll be finding it months later. If your feeling vicious, hide stuff in the normal walking path under all the styrofoam. (Bowls of pudding, whip cream filled ballons etc)

Ive done two ones that I believe are decent:
If you have community showers wait for them to get out of the shower and walk back to their room. Be waiting outside with either koolaid mix or something of the sort and a fan plugged in and blowing into the communal bathroom. When they get out of the shower they are still wet and throw the mix through the back side of the fan and it will spray all over them and get very sticky Also buy a bunch of cheap alarm clocks and hide them all over the kids room and set them for every 40 mins starting at 4am

You freeze the can and then cut it open with a saw, it stays as a solid until it warms at which point it makes a huge pile of cream.

Basically, it makes a small amount of shaving cream, but loses a lot of the internal pressure and the noozle has a lot do with the shaving cream expansion. I don't know what you think a "Huge Pile" is, but it certainly won't fill a car as the first poster suggested.
