Nich, where in Atl? I went to GA Tech and lived there for a little over 3 yrs... Roswell, Norcross, Clarkston (ghetto), Decatur (ghetto), and way up in Canton/Woodstock.
Nice place you got... my buddy just bought another house right off of Lake Lanier (sp?) and is damn nice. The housing here is insane. Wife and I built a new home in 1998 and paid ~$400K and our new neighbors just paid $992K, so I am not complaining at all [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

Nich, I can't believe Atlanta is so cheap. That place is beautiful. It looks similar to our place in the Virginia suburbs and ours was more that twice that.
As to the mortgage. We sold our rowhouse in DC and used that to make the downpayment. When we moved to DC we had PMI for a few months and the value of the house had increased enough to make it unnecessary. I miss the housing boom.
