Re: LOSER BOWL WEEK 3
[ QUOTE ]
first rule of survivor leagues is dont pick a road team, that makes the first rule of loser bowls to not pick a home team [/ QUOTE ] Puts me in a tough situation then. Here are most of the lines, or ones that might matter: NFL Football - Sun 9/24 Game Spread Money Line Total Points More Sun 9/24 199 New York Jets +5.5 +101 +235 OVER 34.5 -104 10:00 AM 200 Buffalo Bills -5.5 -109 -255 UNDER 34.5 -106 Sun 9/24 201 Cincinnati Bengals +2 -104 +112 OVER 41.5 -101 10:00 AM 202 Pittsburgh Steelers -2 -104 -122 UNDER 41.5 -109 Sun 9/24 203 Jacksonville Jaguars +7 -111 +265 OVER 44 -108 10:00 AM 204 Indianapolis Colts -7 +103 -285 UNDER 44 -102 Sun 9/24 205 Tennessee Titans +11 -107 +565 OVER 36 -108 10:00 AM 206 Miami Dolphins -11 -101 -635 UNDER 36 -102 Sun 9/24 207 Washington Redskins -4 -104 -203 OVER 37.5 -104 10:00 AM 208 Houston Texans +4 -104 +185 UNDER 37.5 -106 Sun 9/24 209 Chicago Bears -3 -117 -186 OVER 34 -112 10:00 AM 210 Minnesota Vikings +3 +109 +176 UNDER 34 +102 Sun 9/24 211 Carolina Panthers -3 -102 -160 OVER 34 -113 10:00 AM 212 Tampa Bay Buccaneers +3 -106 +150 UNDER 34 +103 Sun 9/24 213 Green Bay Packers +6.5 +102 +270 OVER 39 -107 10:00 AM 214 Detroit Lions -6.5 -110 -300 UNDER 39 -103 Sun 9/24 215 Baltimore Ravens -6.5 -105 -280 OVER 33.5 -108 01:05 PM 216 Cleveland Browns +6.5 -103 +260 UNDER 33.5 -102 Sun 9/24 217 St Louis Rams +4.5 -107 +185 OVER 44.5 -104 01:15 PM 218 Arizona Cardinals -4.5 -101 -203 UNDER 44.5 -106 Sun 9/24 219 New York Giants +3.5 -106 +179 OVER 43.5 -113 01:15 PM 220 Seattle Seahawks -3.5 -102 -192 UNDER 43.5 +103 Sun 9/24 221 Philadelphia Eagles -6 -110 -270 OVER 42 -106 01:15 PM 222 San Francisco 49ers +6 +102 +250 UNDER 42 -104 Sun 9/24 223 Denver Broncos +7 -115 +270 OVER 39 -108 05:15 PM 224 New England Patriots -7 +107 -300 UNDER 39 -102 NFL Football - Mon 9/25 Game Spread Money Line Total Points More Mon 9/25 225 Atlanta Falcons -3.5 -108 -205 OVER 42 -108 05:30 PM 226 New Orleans Saints +3.5 +100 +187 UNDER 42 -102 |

Re: LOSER BOWL WEEK 3
yea, Tennessee should be the clear pick for you, while Miami is the clear pick for most peoples survivor. Although Miami shouldnt be favored by this much, they will be able to win this game by just a high dose of Ronnie Brown and good solid defense. They wont need Culpepper to make any risky plays like he tried and failed on the last 2 games.

Re: LOSER BOWL WEEK 3
Miami has not played well at all. That o-line has not opened holes for Ronnie Brown. They are in flux at quarterback. The Defense was supposed to be solid but teams have been able to both throw (Charlie Batch connecting all over them) and run (Willie Parker breaking over 100 and Willis McGahee almost doing it) on them. I vouch for team stability over home teams. Baltimore is the pick. They have played extremely well, even though they have not been able to put it into the endzone efficiently yet. They can score offensively and more importantly defensively. How is cleveland going to move the ball on them with no offensive line, 1 ok wide receiver still recovering from a knee injury, 1 denver caste-off at running back, and a qb who has a good chance of being the first MAC failure at qb.

Re: LOSER BOWL WEEK 3
Ronnie had 15 carries for 70 yards against Buffalo which is solid, and theres a big difference between opening up holes against Pit or Buffalo and opening up holes against Tennessee. Even though Miami hasnt played well this year, Tennessee has been one of the bottom couple teams in the league, and id rather pick them going on the road against a more talented team then pick a home team (browns) playing a division team who they know well.

Re: LOSER BOWL WEEK 3
My initial thought is to go with TEN if only becasue oakland doesn't play and green bay plays another terrible team in detriot. However, the Dolphins scare me. As a long time vikings fan i know first hand how Culpepper can single handely lose a can for a far superior team.
The only other option is Cleveland. If they weren't at home this would be the pick. However going on the road to a divisional opponent (with a strong history between the franchises) makes this game anything but a sure thing for balt. Another plus here is that Tennesse is probably the majority choice so if they can pull off the upset and you have selected Cleveland you be set. In the end I think the home team must prevail and I would choose he titans. |

Re: LOSER BOWL WEEK 3
I think Denver should be in the mix here. The Patriots have to be hungry for revenge against the team that knocked them out last season, while the Broncos are putting up 9 points against the Damon Huard Era-Chiefs and Plummer is stinking up the field. Would you pick against Tom Brady @ NE these days, either?
It's certainly not the default pick (TEN) this week, and might not be a better trick play than CLE, but I have a very hard time imagining the Broncos going into NE and winning this week. |

Re: LOSER BOWL WEEK 3
Historically, Denver has played well in Foxboro, but that is a misleading stat. I love the Pats here. Rod Smith is injured (concussion) and Javon has not played well. Jake is trying way too hard.
