I went to the Trop yesterday on the Jitney, when i saw no pink chip game, took a taxi the Borgata. AHHHHHHH

Just had the same phone call.
I got the poker rate for an August weekend, and now I'm
not being offered any poker rate. Operator said
that was my status Sept 1 - Oct 31... maybe they re-evaluate
every 2 months.
I don't player higher than 10/20, but I play 10-12 hours/day
when I'm there and ring a large restaurant bills to boot.

Guess the Borg is aiming to be the high-end room. Guess I'll check the Trop for October

It used to be simply hours played, game limit made no difference. It has always been a 4 hour average session. I'm not sure if this is still the case, but I think it is.

I think this is still how it works.

The manager there - Melanie - is awesome and will hook you up if you ask her. I didn't qualify the second time I went and she hooked it up anyway, and another time they were out of poker rate rooms but she got me one, etc. These were both summertime weekends too.

I was told my hours expired after a year and they wouldnt give me the rate even though i always average over 4 hours when I play. They said you had to have at least 60 hours banked to get a room these days and that wouldnt even cut it on the weekends anymore.
