Default Tropicana AC - New Poker Room next month - 65 tables!

Said goodbye to the Taj... the new monsters in town are the Borg and the Trop. The news was announced yesterday, nobody knows if there will be shufflemasters installed into the tables.

65?!?!?!?

How many does Taj have again? Between Borg, Taj, and Trop, that's gotta be >200 tables.

Add the 20 or so I believe Hilton has... how many of these tables are being filled up?

Did Borgata finally getting to 85 tables kill that 100+ person NL list? If yes, how many tables are running in the new room on a weekend night?

On a weekend night, it looks like the Borgata is mostly full. There are around 10 empty tables in the tournament area, but even some of those fill. There are no long waits for games. As players learn this, I'm guessing that all 85 tables will fill.

Taj has 75 tables. Haven't been there on a weekend night, but on a Sunday afternoon the room was fairly busy, but there were empty tables (including the now-dead high limit area).

Does anyone know/think this will change their room rates? As of now, I get free/cheap rooms there fairly often and would almost have to file this under "beat" if that changes.

Do you know where the room will be located in the casino? Or are they just expanding the one that exists there?

Are they going to get mid/high stakes?

Good to see the Trop isn't taking the new Borg room lying down. They'll get at least one visit from me to check out the new digs.

I wonder how long that was in the works ... I'm surprised the buzz didn't start earlier.

Heard the new room will be in the north end of the casino by the table games. in the old sports bar area which is slot machines now.
Hope they get rid of the bar code system they use now and do like the other rooms and swipe players card in and out.

I prefer the scanning system, actually. I've gone up to my room zonked at Borgata and lost out on comps points too many times.

This is the best AC poker news I've heard in a while, really I'm looking forward to playing there.
