not poker related. but last night i met my friends new roommate. he was telling me how he invented a new turbine system and expected to win this years nobel prize. (he dropped out of college while pursuing a degree in literature). he obviously wasnt the least bit intelligent. he works at a grocery store. i enjoyed this lie.

[/ QUOTE ] Well, I don't know about $7K, but we have a (tiny, 4 tables) local cardroom that doesn't spread anything bigger than 4/8, and I've seen the royal flush jackpot exceed $6K on several occasions.

When people start taking about online poker, and they obviously are making [censored], I just start lying my ass off.
Oh, yeah, I cashed $35k in the Party Poker Millions. I paid my entire year of college off last night running well at 3/6 NL table. Oh, yeah, I play 12 tables of 15/30 at a time. While sitting at a 3/6 or 4/8 table... Most dealers and people with a clue laugh their asses off, but the skeptics don't believe me and get angry. Bastards.

OH! I HAVE A GOOD ONE!
my friend and i met one of her friends at this bar last weekend. and he told us he was playing 25/50NL at the mirage. something in my mind went "uhh, thats def not spread there". but then i forgot about it. this thread reminded me of it. i called the mirage and asked what the highest nl game they had ever spread was, and the pokerroom manager said they had never had a game bigger than 2/5. lol wtfaments? rj
