to those who had Ax in the CO range... why would any Ax which isn't two pair pot the river??? that was never in my range for CO. we could chalk it up to terrible play but how likely is it? AT has a chance for a free showdown after UTG bets every street but the river, and decides to pot it?

I don't play this hand in full ring from UTG. Mostly because I don't like to play top pair hands from out of position.

Given how this plays I would put in a $10 blocking bet on the river, then fold to serious action. I would also consider putting in a little less on the turn, $7 or so.

One key concept here is small hand = small pot. TPGK is a small hand.

I would think that AXs as well as any pocket pair is a resonable hand for the villan. I think that you are beaten here a LOT more than your good.

As played, I fold to the river bet.

This seems to be a line that a lot of villains will take with a flush draw.

If he has been calling down with an Ace I think he has you beat. I just can't see Ax, that hasn't hit 2 pair, potting the river.

As I think that this is often the flush draw I can with AT+.
