Re: a couple spots to slowplay?
I ddin't say I did, but that "they" often suspect it is a bluff. I think I agree with you that it's often a grade B or C hand.

Strongly dislike both, but #1 more than #2. That's all I'm going to say since I'm happy to have you people keep playing this way against me. [/ QUOTE ] same |

Re: a couple spots to slowplay?
man, i totally disagree about raising vs flatcalling...i get so many more bets when i flatcall strong hands out of the blinds that it isnt even close.

Re: my thinking

it protects calls with weaker hands out of the blinds [/ QUOTE ] sure, but there is trade-off: you weaken the medium strength hands you 3-bet with if you always f/c big pairs. |

Re: a couple spots to slowplay?
[ QUOTE ]
second hand: very good game. i get QQ on the button. a fishy bad player openraises in the cutoff he can be semilag, i 3 bet, blinds fold, he calls. the flop comes Q63 rainbow. he checks, should i check here sometimes? most of the time? [/ QUOTE ] The only way you can check here is if your range has some other non-monster hands that you actually check. I think most people are suspicious and it might kill some action. You could possibly mix in a delayed turn bluff with some hands that miss badly on flops or hands that would like free cards. So like top X% and bottom Y% of flop range. Edit: Assuming your opponent is paying attention to what your hand is somewhat. |
