Wow. Three people in a row have misunderstood this question. so let me clarify.

To answer this question, you do the following:

1. Add up all the money you have "set aside for poker." This will include all the money deposited at every site where you have an account, but it could also include money at NETeller or even in a bank account that you have earmarked "poker funds."

2. Add up the value of everything else you own. This will include your bank account(s), your retirement account(s), your home equity, your vehicle, your investment account(s), and your answer from #1.

3. Divide #2 by #1 and multiply by 100 to find the percentage of your assets that are poker funds.

I started off with a $50 deposit 2 years ago, I have withdrawn WAY more than that since then. Now it's a freeroll as far as I'm concerned.

While you may treat your poker money as non-existent, that's not accurate, and certainly not an answer to this question. The question was trying to gauge how much of people's total worth they are willing to "gamble" with.

i get paid 800$ a month from my part time job. ive made 2500 this month from poker .

That's your flow; the question is asking about your stocks. We're asking you "how full is the pool?" and you're saying "the hose puts out three gallons a minute." Those are two different questions.

The question is not asking *where* your money is; it's asking what fraction of your total worth is set aside for poker.

20% of my roll is online. the rest is either in an orange savings account or invested.

Thanks for the clarification Pokey. You are the Master !

It's interesting to think abou this question actually. I believe 4% of my networth is on-line for playing poker.

I'm an old guy too. Poker will never be a significant part of my net worth, as I am an "8." A "5" has a net worth between $10K and $100K. I just want to see how far the first $100 gets me.

My "net worth" is a negative number (student loans, I rent, car sucks, etc.). My BR is around $6000. I guess since I'm still in school this isn't totally pathetic though.
