Truth,

I have recently begun eating much healthier (probably around 1600-1800 calories a day from mostly fruits and vegetables) and after only 2-3 days I already feel much better. I have more energy and my confidence in how I look is improving even though 3 days is obviously not enough time to see any real changes.

Basically taking pride in your health and your appearance feels good and if you stick with it, you will love the results.

I actually do exercise every day. In Astro's original post, he was just trying to point out that exercising wasn't necessary in order to lose weight.

it is necessary if you want to lose fat and not muscle. body fat % is what matters and not weight. I probably weigh 50 pounds more than astroglide but I bet my bf% is lower.

Would you rather be 140 pounds with a 17% body fat or 170 pounds with a 12% body fat?

So all you guys who want to lose weight without exercising, it might end up being productive. Your weight on the scale will drop a lot but you probably won't end up looking how you thought you would.

EEEK- I just found Ash ketchum's posts from astro's thread:

"If you had 75 extra pounds to lose in the first place then you are a fat lard ass.
I would be willing to bet your body is still loose and sloppy.
HARD, consistent exercise is not overated... its practically extinct to most people outside of highschool/college sports teams.

I work damn hard to have a 6 pack. 6'1" 178lbs at 7.5% body fat. Its not overrated when bitches jock it... but you'll never know the joy of girls looking at you like a peice of meat (the way you look at them) if you keep this fat lazy ass mentality."

Wow this guy has been a cockmaster for a long time. [censored] you ash ketchum.

ok, i'll try it for the month of september. tomorrow i'll weigh myself at the gym, and then at the end of the month, and i'll report back with results. i will attempt to write everything down in a food diary too, maybe i will just end up posting it.

i think i will modify it though, because i'll be exercising regularly. i figure i can add about 500 calories. 2k a day sounds about right

Really no need to drop it down to 1200-1400 right away.

It's pretty easy to look around online and see how many calories your body should be burning without major activity. Just find that and subtract a couple hundred.

No exercise is required.

[/ QUOTE ]Why are people always searching for an easy way out? No offense, but would it really kill you to spend 30 minutes a day doing some exercise?

Edit: NM, I see that you do later say that you are exercising.

I agree with the others that you should up the calories but make sure they are good calories.
