Yea... So to turn this into an equation Hand Reading = Networking [/ QUOTE ] Reading situations is probably reading situations, but it should be pretty obv. that having people skills counts way more in the world of business than it does in poker. |

Re: Which is easier to beat: Poker, or Business?
I said poker, but i'm a little biased cause i have no experience in business, but experience making 200k+/year.
One thing to ad is that there is a much lower ceiling in poker. The best player in the world, that runs good makes maybe 30 million a year? I just made that number up, but nonetheless there is a definate ceiling. The ceiling in business is much higher, in the billions--especially if you have built up significant starting capital from poker early in life . So i don't really know which is easier, but business has more potential for a very intelligent, motivated person with good ideas i would think. |

i think that if you have the skills to beat poker for 200+/k a year then you have what it takes to build a business that nets you 1m+ a year

this is why in my mind poker is really just an easy way to make money to start companies. bingo build your capital up, and then take your capital and build your passive income up. then retire. [/ QUOTE ] this is exactly how i feel too. |
