My poker dreams usually involve getting dealt monsters hand after hand but having them accidentally mucked by the dealer or some BS.

I often dream about poker after I've misplayed a crucial hand.
I always feel better about poker and my game the next day.
I figured my brain during sleep must be up to something good.
I reward it with a nice big bowl of...cornflakes when I get up.

This is not uncommon. i ahve had a few poker dreams myself. usually they are for two reasons; 1) I have been eager to play for several days but have been unable to for whatever reason (basicaly my dream is then a type of wish fullfillment) 2) I haven playing ALOT lately and my subconcious is obcessed with poker.
both these are very temporary and i think they are merely the natural outcomes of your subconcious attempting to keep itself sane. BTW, i have occasionaly experienced + know people who experiences these type of dreams when they spend alot of concentrated tiem with video games. I would also hypothesize that many people have work related dreams when they work alot. botom line, such dreams are the standard result of your mind being obcesively focused on any type of activity. Dosnt sound like a bad thing to me

I have a re-occuring dream where I'm playing some sort of complicated version of Omaha that I don't understand. I have backers, the stakes are huge, and I don't even get what makes a winning hand. I wake up nervous, trying to figure out what kind of strategy I should use. It's totally awful.

I dream that I'm dealt monsters like KTs on an AQJs board, but each time I bet and look back the hand gets worse... AA, then AK...

I dream about all sorts of things, including poker. Play of particular hands, the course of games, going to casinos and cardrooms to play, etc., and sometimes people I know from poker populate my dreams.

Here is a quite typical poker dream from my dream diary:

[ QUOTE ]
In a cardroom or casino, I'm eager to get a high-stakes game going. The management calls down a game, and I sit down with one opponent. We agree to start playing in hopes that more players will show up and the game gets going well.

It's a stud game (high-low split stud, probably). In the very first hand I'm dealt, split fours with a six kicker. I come out raising, and my opponent calls me down. I bet every round and wind up taking a substantial pot with fours full of sixes. My opponent is suddenly much less interested in playing head-up with me, and leaves the game. The game has broken after just one hand. I'm disappointed, although the stakes were high enough that winning that one hand has given my bankroll a shot in the arm.

I talk some to the floorman about my skills at high-low split stud: that I'm pretty good but not great; that I'm good enough to have beat the must-move tables at that 50-100 game I played at this year's WSOP, how I really am somewhat predictable and by-the-book.

I change the chips I won into cash, and count my stake. It turns out that some of my $100 bills are improperly printed, with one side being faded. I wonder if the cage will exchange these for better looking bills before I leave.

My fiancee told me once that she woke up in the middle of the night and I was talking about hands in my sleep.

This happens to me alot. Especially when I have a really rough day, which of late, is every day.

I think i dream of poker all night long. Cards and numbers running through my mind.

Yes. I'm playing against Jennifer Harman and a couple of young hotties...I think one of them is Isabelle Mercier...they get into a fight, strip and make out on the felt. It's a great dream and I've already sold the rights to Full Tilt for a pile of cash. I had another one involving Daniel Negreanu, a race horse and an electric cattle prod, but nobody wanted it.

I often dream that I want to play poker -- say I'm in Vegas or something -- but am unable to. What does that mean?
