Im not sure if you've heard of Bran Van 3000, but I highly recommend their album "Glee" which features dance, pop, rock, hip-hop, rap and country songs all on the same album.

I really really recommend this album.

I had to Google this just to make sure you weren't making fun of me.

I'll check them out though. They're from Montreal, so they must be pretty decent I guess.

I can't think of anyone who has successively put out exceedingly different albums.

Certainly the band is nothign without Brock, but it was extremely good news when Jeremiah Green re-joined. That guy's insane. The stuff he did with Satisfact (I think that's the band) was some of the best drum work I've heard.

I was pleased to hear MM play a lot of their old kickass stuff when I saw them last year, but sad to see the lack of enthusiasm among the crowd when those songs were played.

Strange. When I saw them last year they played only 3 songs that were not from Good News or Moon and Antarctica. And the crowd was surprisingly into, and knowledgable of, the old stuff.

Could be explained by the fact I saw them at a festival (Sasquatch in Washington). That would certainly explain the crowds lack of enthusiasm for the old, although one would think a shorter set (presumably from what you saw) would lead to even less old songs. My memory could be off, though, and I just remember the old stuff being played because I like it so much, even if they only played a couple.

It was weird seeing them up there with so many band members. It had been a few years since I had seen them (I saw them quite a few times in the late 90's when they were mostly regional), and I just remember the three of them.
