This was my 2nd hand at the table. It barely qualifies but... this was only my 3rd flopped set in my last 100+ pockets so it was doubly sweet.
I don't normally check a strong hand, but in this case my hand is vulnerable to someone making a bigger boat so I wanted to try and get all-in on the flop. I figured someone with an A is going to make at least some kind of bet at the pot so I wanted to be able to repop big enough to guarantee an all-in by at least the turn. I also figured there was a chance that an A might check and someone might bluff at the pot and I could trap some extra dead money in the pot. When the flop went down like it did I figured both for an A. When I checked results I was pretty stunned, but I sure wasn't complaining.
