Unless he puts you on exactly KK, why would he make such a big move with AA/QQ/55/22? The board is drawless.

I think this is giving the guy too much credit. He made some kinda goofball minraise preflop and called a huge reraise. At 200 NL that's usually the mark of a guy that doesn't study much poker.

I don't think he's putting you on anything, he's either saying "OMG AWESOME HAND INSTA SHOVE" or he's saying "SWEET TIME 2 BLUF U"

[/ QUOTE ]

I agree. On the whole though, I think a bad player would be more likely to slowplay AA/QQ in this situation. It's a bit marginal but I would call.

I would give very very serious thought to folding if it wasn't for his gay minraise preflop. I think that when they minraise then just call, its usually NOT AA IME, but thats just my experience. It could still very very easily be 55/22. I still think he's donking it up enough of the time to call this, but I think its actually very very close

Fold. If he likes to pull this move with trash or TP you will figure it out soon enough. Some guys love to do this with the nuts because it is so retarded. Paying $200 for info isn't worth it.

yeah the minraise is ghey but I've found it to be aces sometimes, more than I had previously thought

in hindsight I guess we're not beating much except AQ here, he'd have to have quite a large nutsack to do this with JJ.

seems like a fold

ugly. i like to fire up 12 tables about 30mins before i play, open up Free PHG and then sit at the best 7 tables I have up. saves a lot of hassle first couple of orbits

[/ QUOTE ]
Excuse my ignorance, but what is Free PHG? Sounds like something I need.

This line of thinking has cost me alot of $$ in the past. Most of the time (like 90%+) I've been shown sets on these drawless flops.
