I actually had no idea that you can ask for a table change.
That is really good advice

[/ QUOTE ]

you just have to make sure you are the first to ask at your table, cause if not you'll end up getting a terrible table

Don't go in with a pre-set gameplan. See how the table's playing and adjust accordingly.

Last year, before day 1, I told myself that was going to play tight, not jeopardize a lot of chips and look for spots to double up. When I got there I realized that the table was playing so weak-tight that I could pick up a lot of small and medium sized pots and slowly build my stack. I didn't have to jeopardize a lot of chips, either. No one was making big reraises and if they did, you could fold all but your very best hands. I built my stack to 45K going into level 7 without ever being all-in or putting someone else all-in.

I think you guys are going to surprised at how weak the tables are in the early going. If this is the case, get in there and get that dead money while it's still on the table.

Don't formulate a strategy and stick to it no matter what. Go in there and play poker.

When I turn 21 I'm gonna play in the ME for the sole reason of asking for a table change. That is [censored] awesome.

Instead, after the first 30 minutes you need to make a decision whether the table is a good table or a bad table. If it's bad, have the dealer call the TD over and ask for a table change. That's how you willget out of the gate fast. Mark my words, when you make the table change request, the TD will give you all the respect you deserve. He knows that few players in the ME think about things like this, and that you are indeed a special player.

This is the best advice that you will ever receive on playing in the Main Event.

agro for the first level, call it down with 2nd pair if it cost 50$, you win some pots from the weak guys and set yourself up as loose. then know when to switch gears
