When my apartment flooded a few weeks ago, I chose to stay at Hooter's for the price, location, and other obvious reasons. The rooms were suprisingly nice. You get a very comfortable king size bed, cheap dining, and the hooter's party atmosphere. The poker room is small and not very busy.

Usually wannabe macho guys playing low NL, and 2/4 or 4/8 during peak hours.

Sounds like it could be fun if you go in with the right attitude.

Sounds +EV if you don't mind a little variance.

I just got back from Vegas this past Sunday, and I stayed at Hooter's. It is a good deal for the price, clean enough, and close to MGM, etc. As for the poker room, the play ranges from awful to really bad, and there is a ton of money to be made there. Not the plushest of surroundings, but with those kind of games, who could complain?

Thats a good deal. There's a big difference between midweek and later in the week. On Thursday their rate goes to $59, Friday is $159 and Saturday is $309.

Hooters poker is not going to be everyone's cup of tea. But I LOVE playing there!

The beer's cold, the game's are hot and I enjoy the atmosphere.

It's a poker experience unlike any other in town and I find playing cards there very refreshing. YMMV.

And anyone who thinks that all Vegas low-limit/NL games draw from the same pool of players ............has obviously not spent much time in a Muppet filled late night Hooters game :-)

All the best,

Howard

Howard or Anyone -

Do you recommend the limit or no-limit action at Hooters?

When I played 1/2 NL at Imperial Palace (seemingly comparable) I just sat back and waited for hands to double up on, calling the occasional flush draw or OESD when pot odds were appropriate.

Is the NL action at Hooters similar? Or do you find yourself playing more LAG and expanding your hand selection pre-flop and then counting on being able to outplay these "Muppets" post flop?

Both ......but limit does not go as often.

I played the IP NL two nights ago and found the game very, very good but nothing like a late night Hooters Muppetfest. YMMV.

I like to mix my game up every now and then :-) but I think any 2+2er should do well in the Hooters game regardless of their LAG/TAG leanings.

Note: I do play mostly late at night so daytime games are another ball game.

Best of luck,

Howard
