What's so weird about not caring for artificial flavoring much? It usually sucks extremely in comparison to the real thing, and certainly does in the case of strawberries.

I made some home made strawberry ice cream a couple weeks ago with fresh strawberries. It was mostly white because there was no food coloring, but it might have been the best strawberry ice cream I've ever had. A bunch of people tried it and liked it a lot.

Of course people liked it. I am sure it was awesome, and better than fake strawberry ice cream. However, liking fresh strawberries doesn't preclude you from liking artificial flavoring as well.

I like both.

I find many artificial flavors don't taste that great, and some have weird aftertastes. I've noticed some pretty poor strawberry and cherry imitations.

A lot of imitation berry flavors also taste kind of like some indistinguishable berry averaged out from all the berry flavors or something.

And sometimes they try to mask a lack of flavor by just upping the sugar content. Lots of slurpies taste like that to me -- an unbelievable load of sugar, but strangely, still not much flavor, or an icky chemical-y taste.

this was a pretty terrible poll so I refused to vote, but there's some artificial strawberry stuff that is kinda gross. Cherry is the king of this department.

SU,

Are you a fan of strawberry milk? I find that flavor can be overly sweet and artificial tasting.

I cannot remember the last time I had strawberry milk, so I cannot really comment. I never really drank milk as a kid so I don't really remember if I liked it then either. I'll have to try it again and let you know. Does it taste good mixed with frozen strawberries to make a smoothie? That could be my new move.

I typically like things really sweet though - hence my love of slushies and slurpees and my distaste for bitter ass coffee.

And to all, looking back my poll choices were lame, but I still say the question is valid. I'll blame my mostly comotosed state from doing an all day practice bar exam for the ill faded attempt at humor. I will do better not to make polls or start posts on days like this.

I like strawberry/cherry flavored things, but dont actually like the fruits themselves. W/the exception of strawberries in my smoothies.
