No, he said "Yob tvoyu mat'" - in russian that means "f uck your mother" - used when you are mad at someone/something.
Like americans would say "fuc king s hit".

Isn't it perfectly reasonable that Teddy has air here.

He is clearly frustrated and being beaten by Mike. So he 3 barrels after putting Mike on a draw. Any marginal hand would check behind on the river.

It is plausible that he has AA, or another strong hand, but the majority of hands, even some 2pr hands check behind on the river here for showdown. Teddy I believe has close to nothing in this spot.

[/ QUOTE ]

This could be plausible as it references the hand between Eric Seidel and Johnny Chan shown earlier in the movie. Although that hand was checked to the river it still involved one player bluffing into a nut straight.

More plausible still is that the writers never bothered to give KGB a hand at all. The hand is for drama, it's not intended to be scrutinized by professional poker players.

This topic has been discussed to death on every poker forum on the Internet. Teddy had TT in the final hand. The movie originally was scripted to show KGB's hand, but it was edited out.

KGB is a very macho man who put mike in a draw based upon the words mike uses. Putting him on a draw he knows what cards that can come to help Mike's hand making his hand irrelevant since mike will not call a big bet on the end with a busted draw. Letting his ego get in the way(a huge mistake in NL) KGB ignored the obvious trap that Mike was setting in both his words and his actions. Now if teddy were to have a real hand(two pair or better) the all-in move wasn't terrible because Mike may have made a bluff catcher hand; moreover, teddy's words indicated that he was trying to bet out a busted draw which may have enticed Mike to call with that bluff catcher thus paying off KGB's hand.

There was a post regarding this on Pocket 5's... someone said they slowed the video down to frame by frame and when Teddy throws [censored] around, you can see two black 10's

Mike: "Check."

KGB: "Two grand."

But he doesn't touch his chips.

Mike: "All right, I'll call the two grand. I'll gamble."

Mike pushes his chips in first, although he's calling the bet. KGB throws his $2,000 all over the table. Pot is now $4,400.

Mike: "Don't splash the pot."

This is not the case. Teddy actually picks up a stack of 100s and proceeds to "splash the pot", I believe he puts the chips in before he says "two grand"
