Default The final hand in the movie Rounders

I have watched this movie atleast 50 times but I could never figure out what Teddy KGB is implied to be holding at the final hand of the movie where Mike flopped the nut straight...

Is it implied that he is holding AA, the hand that crushed him the previous time they played heads up? Does he have AA because Teddy says "are you on a draw Mike?" on the flop as well as "that ace could not have helped you" on the river. Or is it a hand that is not suppose to be thought about because it is irrelavant to Mike's nuts?

He can't have a set of 10s, as he says that the A could not have helped him, unless he's just trying to mind [self-censoring] him. If Mike's got AA in the hole, then the river A gives him a higher set, therefore in fact helping Mike.

I think Teddy's got the AA in the hole. Too bad Mike out flopped him, I'd have liked to see Rounders 2, where Mike struggles to beat the $1-$2 LHE game against Party bots.

obviously if he thought mike was on a draw, he should have checked the river to induce a bluff. terrible playing whatever he had.

DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE MOVIE!

Mike has $40,000, KGB has $20,000.

Mike (thinks): "And usually I would've let him go on chewing those Oreos till he was dead broke. But I don't have that kind of time. I've only got till morning. Not even Teddy KGB's immune to getting a little rattled."

KGB: "Enough is enough, Teddy. Finish the f**kin' kid off. Hanging around. Hanging around. Kid's got alligator blood. Can't get rid of him."

Mike: "No, I'm not going anywhere. Double the blind."

TKGB: "Okay."

Mike posts $100, KGB on the button with the big blind posts $200.

Mike: "I call."

Pot is $400. KGB nods to deal the flop. It comes 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].

Mike: "Check."

KGB: "Two grand."

But he doesn't touch his chips.

Mike: "All right, I'll call the two grand. I'll gamble."

Mike pushes his chips in first, although he's calling the bet. KGB throws his $2,000 all over the table. Pot is now $4,400.

Mike: "Don't splash the pot."

KGB: "You're on a draw, Mike? Go away. This one is not good for you. And in my club, I will splash the pot whenever the f**k I please."

Mike: "Okay."

2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] shows up on the turn.

Mike: [Sighs] "I'm gonna check, Teddy."

KGB: "That's right. Big daddy...bets...the pot."

Bets $4,400.

Mike: "That's all right, I'm gonna call you, or else I won't respect myself tomorrow morning."

KGB: "Respect is all you'll have left in the morning. Last card coming."

Pot is now $13,200. River is A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].

Mike: "Check."

KGB: "It hurts, doesn't it? You can't believe what fell. All your dreams... dashed. Hopes down the f**kin' drain. Your fate, he is sitting right beside you. That ace could not have helped you." [rattles chips] "I bet it all."

Pushes his remaining $13,900 into the pot.

Mike: "You're right, Teddy. The ace didn't help me. I flopped a nut straight."

Mike shows 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].

KGB: "F**k!" [Russian stuff] "F**k! That is it!"

Grama: "That's it? What the f**k you talking about? Take him down, Teddy."

KGB: "Nyet! Nyet! No more! No! Not tonight! This son of bitch, all night he check, check, check. He trapped me!"

Mike: "Well, you feeling satisfied now, Teddy? 'Cause I can go on busting you up all night."

Teddy: "Nyet! Nyet! He beat me. Straight up. Pay him. Pay that man his money."

I don't think you're suppose to care what KGB had, but I'd like to know WTF he thought Mike had.
