No, but I'm honest enough with myself to know that my mind can be changed, and respect the Aaron W. enough to know that he is capable of changing my mind.

I didn't say "what" would change my mind, I said "someone who is capable" of changing my mind.

A6s is just a hand. Without some considerations of your opponents, it's not much more than that. "Not at least limping" infers that raising > calling > folding, which I disagree with in the majority of situations that arise in this spot. Feel free to allow me to continue to lose money this way.

Some hands can be raised in any situation. Some can be folded in any situation. I don't think there are any that can be limped in any situation.

[/ QUOTE ]

No, of course not. But this isn't any situation. This is LP with two limpers.

[ QUOTE ]
Maybe I do need a raising rock.

[/ QUOTE ]

They didn't mean preflop. They meant later in the hand!

[ QUOTE ]
I need a better reason to limp than I do to raise pre-flop. Post-flop is an entirely different story. I don't know why I'm arguing with you, though.

[/ QUOTE ]

Me either. I explained why I think raising is wrong here. You haven't even begun to explain why you think folding could ever be right.

[ QUOTE ]
On an aside note:

There are those who say "raising rock" to a suggestion to raise, and others who suggest that folding is a big mistake. In the spirit of furthering the learning process, how about explaining "why" something either should be played one way or played another way. Just saying "how" doesn't achieve much of anything to those who are trying to learn.

[/ QUOTE ]

I've complained myself about lack of explanations, so I know what you mean.

I explained why raising is a bad idea. Folding is, in my view, a bad idea because you can see a flop with, likely, four others, for one bet. If you flop your ace, you are able to play it from a late position. If you flop your draw, you are laughing. If you flop nothing, you can fold to any bet. It's cost you a small bet. One in about five times, you will have wasted your bet. But the other time, it's like you paid five bets to have top pair or the nut flush draw.

If someone offered me that every hand, I would take it without hesitation.
