I always assumed KGB had AA again (appropriate considering the time he busted Mike). It's also the only way he can be sure that the A didn't help Mike (if it made Mike two pair, it made KGB trips).

Of course, KGB could have put Mike on a hand and was unwilling to change that read (a draw that didn't come though). In that case KGB could be trying to be cool with the big overbet on the river that he feels Mike has no chance to call.

He's clearly tilting and could have anything. I go with AA.

Why would KGB go allin on the river if he read mike for a busted draw. that bet is def not +ev; mike is not callin it with a busted draw, only a slowplayed monster. But I guess AA is so strong there that a value bet is reasonable even if he did have some kind of a read. I think AA is what he had.

I read somewhere that a guy paused the dvd and forwarded it slowly and saw that KGB mucked TT (when he threw his cards they flashed for a brief moment, apparently).
Could be a total bull though.

I also heard that the cards that flashed weren't the ones in KGB's hand, but rather others from the deck.

I watched the DVD myself a while back, and I'm pretty sure this is the case. Teddy's hole cards were still on the table, he still had the deck in his hand after he dealt the river.

I think you guys have the action wrong. Blinds were 50/100, mike raised to 200 and KGB called pre-flop.

Not that it matters, but I think KGB would have had a crappy 2-pair there, like 10-7 or something.

How about KGB flopped a set and has a big hand himself or made aces up? Don't focus on Mike's hand but on KGB's and you can see how this hand played out.

Isn't it perfectly reasonable that Teddy has air here.

He is clearly frustrated and being beaten by Mike. So he 3 barrels after putting Mike on a draw. Any marginal hand would check behind on the river.

It is plausible that he has AA, or another strong hand, but the majority of hands, even some 2pr hands check behind on the river here for showdown. Teddy I believe has close to nothing in this spot.

Yea, I don't think Teddy had much. He was obviously trying to push Mike out of the hand, but the point of the scene was that Mike tricked him into thinking he had nothing when he had a monster.

Didn't Helmuth do consulting for the poker aspect of the movie?? Maybe that explains why it makes no sense
