"Mike and Sam seem to chop almost every significant pot between them. You think Mike is playing on Sam's roll?"

that seems very possible.

According to Harman on Full Tilt MIke borrowed money from Her, Ivey, and Negreanu. She also said how he ended up doing at the end but I do not want to ruin that for anyone on here.

Also notice that DN always uses the fact that the Mouth got staked for this game as his Ace up the sleeve, whenever he wants to either really piss of him or make him shut up. When DN pushed it hard this episode, the only reflex like response from the Mouth was simply "Shut Up, just shut up!"

It was a very sincere and immediate response to DN's prodding (no grandstanding or playing to the cameras there). Obviously, he probably preferred that this staking fact not be discussed on camera, but DN didn't let that happen. I have to applaud DN for that.

Good episode, but not one of the best.

No, I don't, I was in a sit&go with Harman and was chatting with her about HSP when she told me. Lots of people were railing so maybe someone on here can vouch....

Sorry for the noobtacular question. I still haven't seen HSP. But a HSNL thread about it prompted my interest. I assume it is on Mondays, what time & channel?

Is Phil Laak just a tight player or is he itimidated by the stakes. He's won big, but IMHO he would have won a lot more if he opened up his game a little.

[/ QUOTE ]

Based on the TV hands, I think he's played very well.

I agree, I get the feeling that Phil Laak doesn't play cash games with a lot of the pros at the table on a regular basis. He did mention playing against Farha was difficult for him. I wonder if anyone on 2+2 has played against Laak or Farha in a cash game?

i have played with laak on several occassions at the commerce 20-40NL.

while i will say he is a good player, he is nothing special.
however he plays a very similar style to what i've seen of HSP.

he loves to make small raises preflop and keep the pot small until he has a monster.
i don't see him pushing to play big pots with small edges.
