usually i let my opponent, the texture of the board, and what i think the perception of my overall game by my opponent is decide what i do. i generally call a c/r and fold ui on the turn w/ a lot of hands that missed (or JJ on this board). since hero has position, getting checked through isn't an issue here. since villain is an EP raiser, it's a fairly safe bet that he's not doing this w/ a flush draw. because the board is spread out, we're not worried about a straight. given all of these factors, i'd have to go w/ the turn raise.

Appreciate all the input but WTF is this?

Typically I just ram and jam. About 20% of the time I'll call & raise turn. I wouldn't do either one exclusively.

Generally i would 3-bet here. I think that I would be inclined to threebet if villain plays bad and just call if villain plays well, and raise the turn instead ofc.

I almost always call the flop, and raise the turn.

On a board that is draw heavy, for example, a couple of broadway cards and/or two suited or that sort of thing, I'll 3bet it here to charge him in case he's drawing.

If the board is drawless, for example K72 rainbow, then he's raising with a piece of it, and my piece is most likely better. In this case, I'll smooth call and raise the turn, since he's most likely betting out the turn, and there's a good chance he'll call all the way.

If the board is somewhere in the middle, for example only one good draw like this one, then I'll switch it up occassionally, but usually 3bet most of the time.

3-bet the flop. People don't lay down to 3-bets very often HU.

This is fine. You're mostly going ot get called down here, so three-betting the flop is semi-standard. Of course, you could wait til the turn b/c its not like the flop is AJ9 or something.

The guy who check-raised here didn't have an ace though, he just took a shot at you. Note it, and be ready to act accordingly in the future.
