Playing $3/$6 I won $2,465.00 with J3o. I fold it PF but two other guys had a Bad Beat Jackpot of $78,000. Everybody that was dealt a hand split 25%. Not sure this is what you were look for but should have a high BB.

In $1-4 7-stud, I once went 28 raises on 3rd street heads up holding only split aces; not worried for an instant I was up against trips. (Villian had raised EVERY opportunity E-V-E-R-Y opportunity for an hour and a half). He had a J, then caught 7-K-5 and turned over an 8-high straight on the river. What I said ..err.. said outloud was "nice hand".
It would have been more than 28 raises if he had more money. But that was when I was young and foolish. I should have waited until 6th street to get all his money in, such as when he has a raggedy board like J-7-K-5. - Louie |

Are you sure it wasn't a split pot?
WLOG we can assume the flop was AKQ and the river must have paired one of these. If the winner had KQ and the other 2 pair was AQ, the river must have been a K. If the winner had KQ and the other 2 pair was AK, the river must have been a Q. If the winner had AQ and the other 2 pair was AK, the river must have been a Q. In all three cases I am very curious about the holding of the player who flopped the set and lost... |

Wasn't there a 7k+ pot at 100/200 a year or two ago where neverwin rivers set Aces. I think there were 2 other guys already with sets. I know a 35bb pot isn't huge but these were at real stakes.

No split. It must have been top two pair that won.
6 or 8 years ago. Capped action, no muck (10 players). Something close to this, Flop 7-8-9 Player A 8-9 Player B 7-9 Player C 7-7 8 or 9 on the river. I could have sworn bottom 2 pair won. Maybe it came runner runner. I don't think I've pushed a bigger 4/8 pot since. |

I won a $1090 pot at live $10/20 limit holdem, so 54.5 big bets.
Three guys who were all buddies were drunk and playing maniacally, it was capped preflop every hand, etc. I picked up QQ, the flop came KKQ, the 3 maniacs all came along to showdown with random non K/Q hands, another guy got sandwiched with KJ, the turn and river bricked and I scooped the huge pot. Very next hand I called 4 preflop with 98o, flopped 982 and turned a 9 :P That pot was only good for a measly 45 big bets or so. |

When i was in New Orleans playing at Harrahs last year I won a monster 3-6 pot...
Action went something like this: 6-way cap PF 4-way cap Flop--With 2 extra bets 3-way cap Turn--No extra 3-way 3 Bet on River Board was 4-8-10--K--2 (No possible Flush) Showdown was me KK vs AA & QQ This is the only time I've ever won a pot where I had top set & it was the nuts. This def belongs in BBV, but whatever. |

4/8 holdem, 9 handed, $504 = 63 bb Last hand of the night before closing. 2 players flopped straights. 1 player flopped a set. 2 players flopped 2 pair. Board paired on river. Worst 2 pair becomes top full house. [/ QUOTE ] impossible. Worst 2 pair could not win the hand as described. for worst 2 pair either would have to have had top and bottem or middle and bottem with the bottem card pairing on the river. If the bottem pairs on the river then the set must either be top or mid and takes it down. If the middle card comes then the set must have been top and if the high card comes then the top 2 pair must win. |
