Default Re: Poker on cruise ships?

I was introduced to poker a year and a half ago on the Grand Princess out of Galveston. There were a lot of beginners on that cruise and I held my own all week, even before I had learned much about strategy. It was 2/4 with a $5 rake. They offered 3/6 and 4/8, but no takers at the higher limits all week.

Does anyone know if they offer poker on the Royal Caribbean Rhapsody of the Seas out of Galveston? We are scheduled for that cruise this coming December. Thanks.

Carnival will say "poker" available on their website... but usually that means some type of casino game like Carribien Stud.

careful about "Poker" adverstisments. I would recommend going on an actual "Poker" cruise... hope your wife is really, really cool

Woodsman,
I live in Houston, and will be leaving out of Galveston. We've just begun our search. We are looking for a 7-day trip sometime probably in September.

My dad went on Norwegan. He is just learning HE, a real beginner. Before the cruise he had played live twice in his life, and some play money on training software.

They offered 5-10 limit and he made I think 600 in just under 12 hours of play. 4 Dollar rake capped. Any competitent Limit or NL could easily pay for his cruise.

This gives me a boner.

Don't act like you're not impressed.
